VBS 2026 Volunteer Form

Vacation Bible School is just around the corner, July 13th-18th. Thank you for your willingness to help. Last year we had roughly 120 kids and that was an answer to prayer. We would love to replicate that this year, but in order for that to happen we need many volunteers.
Vacation Bible School is just around the corner, and we would love for you to be part of what God will do in the lives of our children! VBS is a powerful week of sharing the love of Christ, and it takes many willing hearts to make it happen.  


We are looking for volunteers in the following areas: Prayer Coordinator,  Drama Director, Decorating Coordinator, Group Guides, Nursery Coordinator, Snack Coordinator, Music Coordinator, Game Coordinator, Bible Teacher, Craft Coordinator, Science Coordinator, and Assistants in all areas.  We have all the guides to get you started.

Decorating Coordinator/Assistants
VBS Decorating Coordinator/Assistants Needed
Do you enjoy creativity and making spaces come alive? We’re looking for someone to help plan and complete decorations for Vacation Bible School. Most of the work takes place before VBS week as we prepare the church for an engaging and welcoming experience.

Nursery Coordinator/Assistants
Nursery Coordinator/Assistants – Vacation Bible School
This volunteer role cares for the children of VBS volunteers who are too young to participate in the program. Help provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment so parents can serve confidently during VBS week.

Group Guides
Group Guides lead small groups of children (according to their age group) throughout the VBS week, helping them transition between activities safely and joyfully. You will have the same group of kids the entire week. This role also involves praying for the children before, during, and after the week, providing spiritual support and encouragement as they learn and grow.  You also will be helping answer questions the kids may have about the faith.

Bible Teacher
Bible Teacher – Plans and prepares daily Bible lessons according to the VBS guide. Leads children in learning and discussion, and prays over all aspects of the position before, during, and after each day.

Prayer Coordinator/Team
Prayer Coordinator – Plans and organizes all prayer-related activities for Vacation Bible School before and during the week of VBS. Communicates regularly with the prayer team and provides guidance and direction.

The Prayer Team will faithfully pray over every aspect of VBS—leaders, volunteers, children, families, and activities—before, during, and after the week.

Craft Coordinator/Assistants
Craft Coordinator – Plans and organizes age-appropriate crafts for all VBS groups. Recruits and oversees craft helpers as needed, prepares and organizes all supplies, and ensures materials are ready each day. Prays over every aspect of the craft ministry—leaders, volunteers, and children—before, during, and after VBS.

Craft Assistants – Serve alongside the Craft Coordinator to help prepare, organize, and set up supplies. Assist children during craft time by offering guidance, encouragement, and hands-on help as needed. Support the overall craft ministry through teamwork and a positive, Christ-centered attitude throughout VBS.

Science Coordinator/Assistants

Science Coordinator – Plans and organizes age-appropriate science experiments for all VBS groups. Recruits and oversees science assistants as needed, prepares and organizes all materials, and ensures supplies are ready each day. Prays over every aspect of the science ministry—leaders, volunteers, and children—before, during, and after VBS.

Science Assistants – Serve alongside the Science Coordinator to help prepare, organize, and set up experiment materials. Assist children during science time by offering guidance, encouragement, and hands-on help as they participate in experiments. Support the overall science ministry through teamwork and a positive, Christ-centered attitude throughout VBS.

Snack Coordinator/Assistant

Snack Coordinator – Plans and organizes daily snacks for all VBS groups. Recruits and oversees snack assistants as needed, prepares and organizes all food and supplies, and ensures everything is ready to serve each day. Prays over every aspect of the snack ministry—leaders, volunteers, and children—before, during, and after VBS.

Snack Assistants – Serve alongside the Snack Coordinator to help prepare, organize, and distribute snacks each day. Assist with set-up and clean-up, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for the children. Support the snack ministry through teamwork and a positive, Christ-centered attitude throughout VBS.

Music Coordinator/Assistants

Music Coordinator – Plans and organizes the daily music time for VBS. Selects songs, coordinates hand motions, and leads children in energetic, Christ-centered worship each day. Recruits and oversees music assistants as needed and ensures all materials and equipment are prepared. Prays over every aspect of the music ministry—leaders, volunteers, and children—before, during, and after VBS.

Music Assistants – Serve alongside the Music Coordinator to help lead songs and hand motions each day. Assist with preparation, set-up, and encouraging children to participate enthusiastically. Support the music ministry through teamwork and a positive, Christ-centered attitude throughout VBS.

Game Coordinator/Assistants

Game Coordinator – Plans and organizes age-appropriate games for all VBS groups. Leads, runs, and oversees game time each day, ensuring activities are safe, engaging, and well organized. Recruits and oversees game assistants as needed and prepares all equipment and supplies in advance. Prays over every aspect of the game ministry—leaders, volunteers, and children—before, during, and after VBS.

Game Assistants – Serve alongside the Game Coordinator to help set up, run, and supervise games for each age group. Assist children during activities by providing guidance, encouragement, and support. Help with equipment, transitions, and clean-up while maintaining a safe and positive environment throughout VBS.

Drama Coordinator/Assistant

Drama Coordinator – Plans and organizes all aspects of the VBS drama. Prepares folders with scripts and copies for each participant, schedules and oversees rehearsals, and ensures everyone understands their roles. Coordinates costumes, props, and staging as needed. Prays over every aspect of the drama ministry—leaders, volunteers, and children—before, during, and after VBS.

Drama Assistants – Serve alongside the Drama Coordinator to help distribute materials, support rehearsals, and assist with costumes, props, and staging. Encourage participants and help ensure smooth transitions and presentations throughout the week of VBS.
